Cù Bòcan 15 Year Old 2022
A milestone release from Cù Bòcan: the first age-stated edition in their lineup. Distilled using lightly peated barley at Tomatin and aged for 15 full years solely in Oloroso sherry casks, this expression is bottled at 50% ABV with natural colour and no chill-filtration.
This elegant Highland dram bursts with sun-dried fruits, flamed orange peel, cinder toffee, black cherry, and exotic spice. Underpinned by a subtle dry peat smoke, its palate unfolds forest fruit jam, citrus zest, and rich cacao, balanced by earthy peat dryness and seasonal warming spice.
The finish is long and resonant, with echoes of toasted walnuts, cardamom, dark chocolate, and a soft, savoury smoke, perfect for the contemplative dram lover. With just 3,000 bottles in circulation, it’s a rare Highland release worth seeking out.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Blackberries, cranberries, tea cake, orange zest, beeswax, soft smoke
