Kilchoman Batch Strength whisky - Cask Strength Islay Firepower
From the rugged shores of Islay comes a dram that pulls no punches – Kilchoman Batch Strength whisky. Bottled at natural cask strength, this limited-edition single malt brings the full force of Islay’s signature peat, backed by the rich complexity that has made Kilchoman a cult favourite among whisky lovers.
Produced at Islay’s only farm distillery, this whisky is made from barley grown, malted, distilled, matured, and bottled on-site – a true field-to-bottle creation. The Batch Strength release is unfiltered and natural in colour, preserving every ounce of flavour straight from the cask.
Nose: Robust waves of earthy peat smoke, cracked sea salt, lemon peel, and a drift of warm embers. Subtle hints of vanilla and toasted oak deepen with time in the glass.
Palate: Full-bodied and fiery, with rich notes of honeyed malt, black pepper, smoked bacon, and charred citrus. A bold oiliness coats the palate, balanced by vibrant coastal brine and a touch of dried fruit.
Finish: Long, warming, and complex. Smoke lingers with sweet spice, sea spray, and a gentle nuttiness from the oak.
This is Islay at full volume – untamed, unapologetic, and intensely rewarding. Whether you’re exploring cask strength whiskies for the first time or you're a seasoned fan of peated malts, Kilchoman Batch Strength will grab your attention and hold it until the very last sip.

Kilchomen Batch Strength
Matured in a combination of re-charred red wine casks, oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels, a few drops of water were added post maturation to produce a Batch Strength of 57% abv. The result is a colossal dram combining the natural peat smoke and citrus character of Kilchoman with dark fruits, rich spices and salted caramel sweetness.
