From the newer, peat-forward Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran comes this exclusive small batch single malt, matured first in bourbon barrels and then finished in Palo Cortado sherry casks. Known for its balance between Amontillado dryness and Oloroso richness, Palo Cortado imparts stunning depth and elegance to this bold whisky.

Expect a symphony of smoky malt, candied citrus, roasted nuts, and gentle spices, all seamlessly interwoven with Lagg’s signature peated base. This dram is both powerful and polished, appealing to sherried whisky fans and peat lovers alike.

Crafted without chill-filtration and left at natural colour, this is a small batch release that proudly reflects the wild nature of the island and the precision of the distillery team.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Charcoal smoke and citrus zest, followed by walnuts, stewed fruit and hints of leather.

• Palate: Juicy and smoky, notes of fig jam, bitter orange, salted caramel and peppered oak. The sherry cask adds a dry, nutty backbone.

• Finish: Dry, smoky and enduring,  with spice, smoke and a gentle sherry fade.
