Ledaig (pronounced Le-chig) is the peated alter-ego of Tobermory Distillery—and with Triple Wood, they’ve pushed their creative boundaries. This limited-edition single malt was matured in not one, but three types of casks: bourbon, port, and red wine, each layering on unique flavours to build something seriously bold, balanced, and full of depth.
The result? An island whisky that brings together smoke and sweetness with finesse.
Nose: Sweet spice and orchard fruits meet creamy toffee and a hint of cola cubes.
Palate: Smoky and rich, with layers of apple strudel, vanilla custard, a crackle of black pepper, and a streak of toasted oak.
Finish: Long and warming with notes of treacle, clove, and a touch of lingering campfire smoke.
This isn’t just a fantastic dram—it’s also a whisky that gives back. Created in partnership with wildlife filmmaker Gordon Buchanan, every bottle sold helps fund rewilding efforts in Ardura Forest on Mull. It’s a whisky with a wild heart and a real mission—to restore and protect the stunning landscape it calls home.
Whether you're already a fan of Ledaig's smoky island style or you're ready to try something that blends peat with a surprising fruity sweetness, Triple Wood is a dram worth savouring—and sharing.
