This limited edition, cask-strength powerhouse celebrates Friar John Cor, the monk who penned the first known record of whisky distillation back in 1494. Over 500 years later, Lindores Abbey Distillery pays homage with a whisky that’s equal parts reverence and revolution.

This is Lowland single malt with teeth. Bottled at a commanding 60.2% ABV, with natural colour and zero chill filtration, Chapter III shows off Lindores’ boldest, richest blending yet.

Cask Composition & Maturation:

Crafted from a meticulous combination of ex-Bourbon barrels, Amontillado, and Pedro Ximénez sherry butts, this whisky has seen serious time and skill. After initial maturation, the whisky was vatted and rested in refill sherry butts, a final flourish that softens the edges and ties everything together in glorious harmony.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Dense fruitcake, orange oil, warm leather, briny driftwood and roasted almonds

• Palate: Thick waves of fig jam, Medjool dates, PX sweetness, with dry oak spice, espresso bitterness and a silky undercurrent of vanilla and charred bourbon cask
